Manal


Manal fue un trío precursor del blues y el rock cantados en castellano. integrado por Alejandro Medina (bajo, voz y teclados), Claudio Gabis (guitarra, armónica, pianoy órgano) y Javier Martínez (batería y voz). Junto a Los Gatos y Almendra, es considerado grupo fundacional del Rock de Argentina y uno de los pilares del género en ese país y en iberoamérica. En las décadas posteriores, su estilo y estética han servido de inspiración a numerosos intérpretes y grupos musicales.

Hermetica


Hermética fue una legendaria banda argentina de Thrash metal,1 creada en el año 1987 por Ricardo Iorio tras la disolución de V8. Fue y es uno de los principales íconos del heavy metal argentino, no sólo por su música sino también por su crítica lírica, la cual aborda temas sociales («En las calles de Liniers»; «Gil trabajador»), políticos («Masa anestesiada»; «Olvídalo y volverá por más»), personales («Evitando el ablande»; «Atravesando todo límite») filosóficos («Vida impersonal»; «Memoria de siglos») e históricos («La revancha de América»; «Sepulcro civil»). Se disolvió en el año 1995, luego de un excelente y convocante año, debido a conflictos internos. Se lo considera una de las bandas más populares entre el género del Heavy Metal, además influyó a muchas bandas under.

Linkin Park


Linkin Park es una banda estadounidense de rock procedente de Agoura Hills, California. Formada en 1996, el grupo estuvo inicialmente integrado por Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon y Mark Wakefield, este último como voz principal. La banda inició en ese mismo año sus primeros trabajos musicales de manera independiente y posterior a esto grabaron su primer material llamado Xero; sin embargo no tuvieron gran éxito en la búsqueda de un sello discográfico ya que ninguno mostró interés en su trabajo, lo que ocasionó la renuncia de Mark Wakefield. Poco después, Chester Bennington se incorporó a la banda como vocalista; el grupo realizó su primera presentación en un club de Los Ángeles y siendo respaldados por Jeff Blue, en aquel entonces vicepresidente de Warner Bros. Records, lograron firmar con el sello en 1999. El nombre del grupo es un juego de palabras haciendo referencia al Lincoln Park en Santa Mónica.

Red Hot Chili Peppers es una banda de funk rock estadounidense formada en 1983 en Los Ángeles, California. Sus integrantes son el vocalista Anthony Kiedis, el guitarrista Josh Klinghoffer, el bajista Michael "Flea" Balzary, y el baterista Chad Smith. Black Sabbath


Black Sabbath fue originado en el año 1969 en Inglaterra por el guitarrista Tony Iommi, el baterista Bill Ward, el bajista Geezer Butler y el vocalista Ozzy Osbourne. En sus inicios eran conocidos como Earth (nombre que Osbourne odiaba) hasta que empezaron a ser confundidos con otro grupo inglés con el mismo nombre, por lo que decidieron cambiarlo. 
El nombre surgió cuando el grupo notó que frente a un lugar en el que ensayaban estaban proyectando una película protagonizada por Boris Karloff titulada Black Sabbath, lo cual sorprendió a Butler, quien empezó a escribir la letra para una canción llamada igual que la película, inspirado en una pesadilla que dijo tener. La letra reflejaba un mensaje muy oscuro y tenebroso, al igual que el sonido creado por Tony Iommi, lo cual terminó por inspirar al grupo a llamarse como la película y la canción, con el objetivo de crear música que se adecue a películas de horror.
